Type Design, Type Development.
Petrona is part of Google's Web Fonts collection. It's intended for gastronomic editorial use, to be applied in texts, but also in titles, ingredients, and recipes. This design challenged the number of features that can be added to a font, without changing its text-type genre. Its features include serifs that suggest certain cooking style gestures, and monospaced numbers of uniform height, specific to the descriptions of recipe ingredients. Developed by Ringo R. Seeber with the mentorship of Eduardo Tunni.
Selected and exhibited, Biennial of Latin American Typography - Tipos Latinos.
